The Magic Gripper is a unique construction tool. Its ergonomic design allows one person to carry heavy sheet goods (such as plywood, drywall, particle board, melamine, thick glass panels & lots of other such materials), from the top using only one hand. Comes with a cushion handle for all day comfort. Equip with two (2) bar construction for stability when your are carrying your load. The Magic Gripper® simplifies that task, greatly reduces the strain & risk of injury to the back, neck, shoulders, arms & hands. If it don't say Magic Gripper its not!
Magic Gripper® works by clamping onto the top of the panel, creating a sturdy temporary handle for the person who is carrying it. It grips & won't let go until you lower the handle. It allows the user to lift & move such materials with a straight back, eliminating the requirement of bending over to get under the bottom, thus avoiding the torqued back & the aches & pains that are far too familiar to construction workers, woodworkers even do-it-yourselfers

I work in a small cabinet shop where I have to haul material from one end of the shop to the table saw at the other end. Over the years I have injured both elbows carrying heavy sheets of melamine and plywood. This little device works beautifully! It's built very sturdy and allows one to lift with their whole body. It allows one to carry material in a more comfortable position as well. Yesterday I carried 5 sheets of 3/4 oak ply and 11 sheets of 5/8 melamine. No joint pain at all! The material is still heavy, but the Gripper allows better body positioning for the hall the the back of the shop. Well worth the money

I have tried moving plywood and sheetrock with this tool and find it to be quite convenient. There is little chance that the sheet will slip out of the rubberized gripping plates. It is a lot easier being able to carry the sheet with one hand in a natural position, keeping the other hand free for other little things that might come up, like holding onto a ladder

Works just as advertised. I own the contractor version (min 1/2" material) and have used it on plywood (1/2" and 3/4") and 5/8" drywall. I expected that it might damage the drywall, but it never did. I tried it on 10 foot, 1/2" drywall panels and was able to lift and maneuver them without a hitch.
